Akson Robotics is a Danish agritech startup that specializes in integrating artificial intelligence, robotics, drones, and machine learning into real-world agricultural applications. A core product of theirs is CropUp, a SaaS platform that allows farmers, agronomists, or pilots to upload aerial (drone) images of their fields, where AI models detect and distinguish between weeds and crops at a very fine level. From those detections, “spraymaps” can be generated that show exactly where one should apply herbicides, rather than spraying an entire field uniformly. This saves costs, lowers chemical use, helps yield, and reduces environmental impact.
