Headquartered in San Francisco, Metabolize is building a new category of precision metabolite products for weight management. GLP-1 drugs have changed how people lose weight, but most patients stop treatment at some point because of cost, side effects or access, and most of the weight comes back. There is no clear standard of care for this phase, and as GLP-1 use keeps growing, more people are reaching it every year.
The company’s first product, NatLean, is a dietary supplement designed to help people keep the weight off after stopping GLP-1 therapy. It is based on metabolites the body already produces, which regulate appetite and metabolism through pathways different from GLP-1.
