Pavlos Kalaitzoglou

Pavlos Kalaitzoglou joined Astanor Ventures as an Advisor in 2023, bringing extensive expertise in fundamental plant physiology, precision agriculture, and agricultural automation. With over a decade of experience in scientific leadership, he is committed to advancing agricultural productivity and sustainability through technology-driven innovation.

Previously, as VP of Science at Infarm, Pavlos combined knowledge in photobiology, genetics, integrated pest management, and nutritional biochemistry to significantly improve crop productivity and quality. His work set new benchmarks and substantially advanced the field of controlled-environment agriculture.

An alumnus of Wageningen University specializing in Greenhouse Technology, Pavlos is recognized for his impactful research on LED lighting strategies in agriculture. He continues to support the development of technologies that enhance resilience and sustainability in global food systems.
