Pietro Hughes

Pietro joined Astanor in October 2023 and is a member of the Growth investment team. He supports in sourcing investment opportunities, conducting due diligence and running financial analyses.

Prior to Astanor, Pietro worked across investments and sustainability at Oxford University Endowment Management, with a particular focus in rural assets. He also completed internships with start-ups in the agriculture and food sector in Europe, with an intergovernmental organization in Central Asia, and a research group in the Midwestern USA.

Pietro is twice published as an academic author, holding Master’s degrees from the University of Oxford and Imperial College London. He speaks English, Italian and conversational Spanish.
