Enzymes drive chemical reactions in everything from detergents and food ingredients to animal feed and pharmaceutical manufacturing. But nature only evolved a tiny fraction of the enzymes that could exist, and rarely for the exact conditions of an industrial process. Improving a natural enzyme the traditional way can take years and often still falls short.
Biomatter starts from the chemistry instead. It uses AI and physics-based modelling to design enzymes from scratch for a customer’s specific reaction and production conditions, then tests every design in its own lab. Customers receive a finished, working enzyme in weeks.
