Veteran Food Industry Leader Filip Kegels Appointed as Operational Partner at Astanor Ventures

Filip’seducational background includes a master’s degree in economics from UFSIA (Catholic University of Antwerp) and a master’s degree in management and business administration from VUB (University of Brussels). His academic foundation has laid the groundwork for a successful career characterized by leadership, strategic vision, and a commitment to sustainability.
Prior to joining Astanor Ventures, Filipserved in various executive roles and board positions across renowned companies in the food industry. Notably, he held the position of Vice President Dairy Asia,India & Middle East and served as Non-Executive Chairman at Group Danone China & Japan. His tenure at Danone also included roles such as VP Africa, Middle East, Asia-Pacific, General Manager for Eastern, Central, and Northern Europe, and CEO, among others.
Filip’sextensive experience in the food industry extends beyond Danone, with notable roles such as Managing Director ad interim at Michel and Augustin in France. He also serves as a Non-Executive Board Member for companies like La Lorraine Bakery Group NV in Russia and Drums Food International in India.
