Marie Wennergren
Marie began her venture capital career at Fly Ventures, a European seed fund focused on automation. Whilst there, she led the seed investment in 9fin, a company transforming debt capital markets data, now valued at $500M+. Other notable deals include Insify (insuretech) and Salv (fintech). Marie also served as Venture Partner at impact investing firm Aurum Impact, where she led investments in climate startups such as Paebbl (carbon removal) as well as into global impact funds.
Marie has worked as an operator, leading product development at an edtech startup and overseeing the creation of a web app and two mobile apps used by over 500k students. She is committed to empowering women in the industry, having started Germany’s first ‘Women in Venture Capital’ group, which has since evolved into a vibrant, self-organised community of over 600 participants.
Driven by a deep passion for food and agriculture, Marie joined Astanor, where she focuses on partnering with visionary founders in the DACH region and Nordics to build a more sustainable food system.
